During last December 12’s regular Thanksgiving service at the ADD Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga, Bro. Daniel Razon, Assistant Overall Servant to MCGI, reminded the whole congregation about the dates of the fourth quarter International Thanksgiving to God.

“Let us all be united, God willing, come December 25, for our ITG,” remarked Bro. Daniel.

Leading up to the quarterly congregational event are succeeding milestones and accomplishments of the Church this past quarter, featuring various charitable and public service endeavors locally and internationally.

A Quarter’s Highlights, Accomplishments

On October 12, 2015, MCGI’s award-winning religious program Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) celebrated its 35th year anniversary at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum. Hosted by Bro. Eli Soriano, the show is the Philippines’ longest-running religious shows.

On the same night, MCGI broke the old record of Guinness Book of World Records’ “Largest Chorale Group” award, with its 8,688 choir members’ awe-inspiring performance of a 15-minute medley of praise songs.

Aside from the Guinness win, the anniversary special at the Big Dome featured 11 Persons with Disabilities (PWD) groups as recipients of Php 100,000.00 each.

Meanwhile, Bro. Eli Soriano’s blog site, Controversy Extraordinary, won two awards from the Philippine Blogging Awards during the awards night on November 21. The international preacher’s blog won the “People’s Choice Awards – Society and Politics Category” and “Bloggys 2015 People’s Champion” awards.

After a week (November 23), children’s non-profit organizations and groups each received Php 100,000.00 financial help during Bro. Daniel Razon’s birthday concert entitled “In the Eyes of a Child.”

Bro. Daniel’s concert is a celebration of his 32nd year of his baptism in the Church. The jam-packed concert featured talented young artists such as Darren Espanto, Gwyneth Dorado, Myka Cloma, and the Halili School of Ballet dancers, among others.

The latest among the awards received by MCGI are the PMPC Star Awards for its television programs airing on UNTV Life Channel 37, on December 3, 2015.

The A Song of Praise Music Festival won the “Best Talent Search Program” award, while MCGI’s children’s show The KNC Show won two awards, namely the “Best Children Show” and the “Best Children Show Host.”

Under the tutelage of MCGI Overall Servant Bro. Eli Soriano, Bro. Daniel Razon visited different provinces of the nation to personally check on the welfare of the brethren in the country’s farther areas.

To tend to the needs of the brethren in far-flung areas, Bro. Razon visited provinces such as Cebu, Quezon and Leyte, to name a few, in the past quarter, for special weekly thanksgiving to God celebrations.

The ITG is a three-day worldwide event will feature members from different countries and nationalities following the Philippines’ time zone as they give gratitude to God for a quarter-full of His loving kindness and mercy.
