Satellite

Satellite technology has offered to humanity the gift of worldwide communication. Aside its functions supporting global positioning, weather forecasting, and others, it is most useful in television and radio broadcasting, where news is delivered from one point of the globe to another. This technology has proven to be an effective means in delivering information regardless of distance and difference in time, therefore Members Church of God International leaders, Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon, decided to put it to good use.

Subsequent to being based overseas, Bro. Eli used to travel from one city or state to another, to preach the unadulterated doctrines of Christ to other nationalities. But after realizing that this has taken a lot of his time, the International Evangelist along with Bro Daniel realized they had to think of a measure that will both be time-saving and efficient. Satellite broadcasting was the best option.

Knowing there are people who had been in constant search for biblical truths, Bro. Eli was encouraged to take his chances in spite of the fact that the cost of leasing this technology is expensive. Bro. Daniel Razon, the Vice Presiding Minister, and incidentally a Mass Communications Specialist shored up all the support he could muster for Bro. Eli.

Starting with NSS 806 covering North, Central and South of the Americas, Europe and North Africa, the MCGI leaders had braved to test the waters. After receiving a decent number of viewership, Bro.Eli and Bro.Daniel decided to expand The Old Path’s propagation reach through several other satellites that will increase the reach of the global propagation efforts of the Church of God.

As MCGI’s satellite broadcast started to reach more nations around the world, it became inevitable for The Old Path television program that started in the Philippines to be replicated in non-English formats, including El Camino Antiguo for Spanish-speaking people, and the O Caminho Antigo program for the Portuguese-speaking populace.
