Newly Baptized Testimonials: January 10, 2014

Read short testimonials of faith from some of MCGI’s youngest members baptized on January 10, 2014 at the ADD Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga, Philippines.

Sis. Marie Ellaine Caparas, 16, Former KNC, Manila

On Being Baptized
I feel happy and light. It’s like I’ve been unburdened. The doctrines are good and clear and true.

On MCGI Leaders
[They] preach well and clearly. Then it’s like you won’t notice it at first, but all the [verses] are really related to each other.

Bro. Lohengrin Santiago, 24, Former Catholic, Tarlac Province

On Being Baptized
I can’t explain what I’m feeling. I’m really happy.

I fell in love with a girl who is a member. But when she invited me, I saw that it wasn’t just courtship that I would find in her. She invited me to attend a Church service.

I heard [Bro. Eliseo Soriano] for the first time in November [of 2013]. What he says is right. All of it is based in the Bible. What he says is good.

On MCGI Leaders
May he continue because we still have many brethren who need to be taught the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. May he also live longer here on earth.

Sis. Jaycel Retanal, 18, Former Catholic, Laguna Province

On Being Baptized
I feel so very light inside, like all the burdens I carried are now all gone.

My boss brought me to a Church gathering in October [2013]. What I heard from Bro. Eli is the opposite of what is taught in Catholicism. I didn’t hear limitations there, no prohibitions.

I thank my boss for bringing me here, where I learned how important a person’s life is.

On MCGI Leaders
May they continue teaching people.

Sis. Erlinda Jennings, 47, Former Catholic, Rizal Province

On Being Baptized
I’m happy and I feel light inside.

I’ve been watching since six years ago on television. I watched it always and nobody invited me to watch it, and it was through Bro. Eli that I realized that what he says is what’s right.

I’ve been a Catholic for a long time, and yet nothing happened. It’s only now that I’ve experienced true [religion]. Also, the truth is there. You can read it. In Catholicism, it is not taught to us.

We don’t have materialistic things on our bodies, so it feels good.

On MCGI Leaders
Thank you Bro. Eli and to all of the people at UNTV. I thank you because in everyday [of my life], if you weren’t there, I wouldn’t be here now.

Because of you, because there’s UNTV, I am able to watch you almost everyday, every night. My children are also able to watch and they learn from watching you.

Many thanks to the Lord and to all for bringing me here. He really planned this so that when I return to England, I have something to bring there with me.

Sis. Cherry Manaoat, 28, Former Catholic, NCR

On Being Baptized
I’m happy that I’ve been baptized in the Church of God. I can finally give thanks and serve Him.

When I met my husband, who is a brother, he was the one who invited me to listen to the words of God. That was in 2009, but it took me four years before I decided to be indoctrinated.

Something miraculous happened to me. I got sick and with the help of my husband’s prayers, I got [healed]. I was diagnosed with severe urinary tract infection (UTI).

I can say that things like this really happen to us, and it gives inspiration to our lives. So we must carry out [HIs will] in our lives that we may live with God.

On MCGI Leaders
Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, many, many thanks for giving us time, for preaching to us.
