MCGI caps off the 1st Quarter of 2023 with International Thanksgiving

Members Church God International (MCGI) is set to celebrate its 1st Quarter Special Thanksgiving of God’s People on March 24–26, 2023. One of the things that MCGI is thankful for is the dawning of a new year in the Hebrew calendar, which commences on the sunset of March 22, 2023.

As a congregation that has been taught of the importance of good works and gratefulness to the Lord, MCGI brethren from around the world are all enthusiastically preparing themselves for the upcoming special event.

A number of MCGI Coordinating Centers, local chapters, including the MCGI Chapel in the MCGI Convention Center, are open for in-person gatherings. However, the event will still be available via live streaming and video conferencing platforms for all of those who could not be accommodated in the aforementioned venues.

With the Almighty at the center of the Church’s works, the congregation never lacks reasons to give back to Him with thanksgiving. The three-day event will again highlight His wonderful wisdom; it will also be filled with praise songs from joyful voices and grateful hearts of the brethren.

“Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.”

Psalms 95:2, King James Version

Another Year to Reckon

MCGI will welcome the 1st of Nisan 5783 on the sunset of March 22, 2023, corresponding to the first day of a new year in the Hebrew calendar which the early Christians followed. The event will be held at sundown because, biblically speaking, sunset marks the beginning of a new day.

The day before leaving Egypt, the Lord spoke unto Moses and Aaron.  He told them that such a day would mark the beginning of a new year unto them. As written in Exodus 12:1-2,

¹ And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,

² This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

The celebration is a modest gathering with fervent prayers and thanksgiving to the Lord for His guidance throughout the past year, and supplication for His continuous protection and blessings. As what has been consistently done, this event is primarily intended to give thanks to God.

Continuous service to God and humanity

On March 4 of the previous year, the MCGI Cares program was launched to help our fellowmen, both materially and spiritually. Hence, this year marks its first anniversary.

The program highlights biblical teachings which can be applied in our daily lives, like showing love and kindness, even in the simplest and smallest ways, to our fellowmen.

With God’s help and mercy, MCGI Cares will continue to offer the services it started giving to our fellowmen in need and proclaim the honor of God through acts of love and kindness which could encourage and inspire others to do the same.

Mobile love and care

On February 6, 2023, the MCGI Mobile Dental and Optical Clinic was launched to serve our fellowmen who are financially challenged such that they do not have the means to address their dental and optical needs. The services offered by these mobile clinics are free. Although this effort is initiated by MCGI, the mobile clinic is open to everyone regardless of religion. This is still part of the charitable endeavors of the Church.

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”

Galatians 6:10, King James Version

At present, there are two mobile dental and optical clinics that are already roaming in different areas of Luzon, administering free dental and optical services. In due time, another mobile clinic is expected to roll.

MCGI’s Special Thanksgiving of God’s People is a quarterly event wherein brethren from all over the world gather together as a nation to glorify the Almighty with songs of praise, discussions of special biblical topics, and brethren checking upon each other in love. The special event invariably serves as a reminder to MCGI brethren to always be thankful and to continue doing good works for the glory of the Lord.

We are inviting everyone to join us in offering thanksgiving to the Lord.  Let us experience together the spiritual enjoyment and witness the amazing biblical discussion to be served by MCGI Servant Brother Daniel Razon. Mark your calendars on March 22 as we welcome the Christian New Year and on March 2426 for the three-day Special Thanksgiving of God’s People.

We are excited to see you on those days.  For your inquiries concerning these events, including the ways to attend, feel free to reach out on Messenger

To God be the glory!
