A New Sanctuary of Hope: MCGI Charity Center Davao del Norte Begins its Mission of Mercy and Care

Carrying forward a spirit of dedicated service, the facility is manned by faithful brethren committed to providing essential healthcare and social services completely free of charge.

The presence of Brother Daniel and Sister Arlene underscored MCGI’s dedication to reaching out to our fellowmen in the Southern Philippines. Through God’s mercy, this project was brought to fruition by the instrumental efforts of the brethren, including dedicated teams from the MCGI Philippine Loop Open: Team Zealous, Team Partakers, Mati Pillar and Ground, Caraganons, DDN Bound by Love, NC Partakers of Christ, SOCCSKSARGEN Believers, Davao del Sur Soldiers of Christ, Pasay City Zeal Builders, and Makati Circle of Hope.

As emphasized by Brother Daniel, the name reflects the facility’s core purpose: “That is why we call it a ‘charity center,’ a ‘center of acts of mercy.’” The center serves as a testament to a steadfast commitment to helping those in need, acting as a sanctuary where kindness and support are freely given.

To fulfill this mission of care, the MCGI Charity Center Davao del Norte provides a wide range of free services to the public:

Medical Services: Consultations, check-ups, and free medicines.

Optical Services: Consultations, check-ups, and free reading eyeglasses.

Dental Services: Simple extractions and prophylaxis (cleaning).

Laboratory Services (Point-of-Care): ECG, urinalysis, Complete Blood Count (CBC), and Random Blood Sugar (RBS) testing.

Physical Therapy: Consultations and rehabilitation.

Social Services: Welfare consultations, referrals, and free haircuts.

The MCGI Charity Center is located at the Acaso Compound, Barangay Apokon, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. It is open to the public every Thursday, with registration beginning at 6:00 AM and closing at 11:00 AM.

The inauguration of this new center of acts of mercy marks the beginning of a lasting mission to uplift lives through faith and good works. With hearts full of gratitude, the MCGI Charity Center remains a beacon of compassion for all!
