CALABARZON Jail Bureau Honors Ang Dating Daan
Ang Dating Daan receives a Plaque of Appreciation recognizing its charitable works and spiritual assistance in prisons across Region IV-A during the BJMPRO-Calabarzon’s 28th anniversary on August 27, 2019.

Mainly for its Bible-preaching efforts that give inmates spiritual hope, Ang Dating Daan was awarded a plaque of appreciation by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office-Calabarzon (BJMPRO-Calabarzon).

“In situations where our inmates are distressed or in strained conditions, there’s no one they can run to but God. Ang Dating Daan is one of those that continues to give hope to our fellowmen in jails,” Lipa City Jail Chief Inspector Jose Esquinas told UNTV News and Rescue in the vernacular.

The jail bureau also cited Ang Dating Daan’s charity works, such as feeding programs and medical missions. Ang Dating Daan is the radio and television program of the Members Church of God International (MCGI).

BJMPRO-Calabarzon, the second biggest BJMP region in the Philippines, gave the award on its 28th anniversary event held at the Lima Park Hotel in Malvar, Batangas on August 27, 2019.

Bro. Marvin Natividad, MCGI’s representative, accepted the award and thanked the jail bureau on behalf of the organization. He also relayed Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon’s intent in preaching and in doing charity works.

“With or without recognition, Ang Dating Daan will continue its service of proclaiming the word of God to all people especially to our fellowmen in jails,” Bro. Marvin stated.

BJMP officials thanked Ang Dating Daan’s contribution to the bureau’s excellent performance in ensuring the physical and spiritual welfare of the officials and inmates in the region.

Ipagpatuloy nila ang magandang sinimulan nila (May they continue the good they have started),” said Jail Director General Allan S. Iral, the guest of honor and speaker in the anniversary event.

Hindi po namin kinalilimutan ang kanilang kontribusyon sa pamamahala ng mga piitan ng Calabarzon (We don’t forget their contribution to the management of penal institutions in Calabarzon),” added Lipa City Jail Chief Inspector Esquinas.

The longest-running religious program in the Philippines to date, Ang Dating Daan received awards and recognitions from various institutions for its unwavering service to our fellowmen through blood donation drives, free medical and legal assistance, feeding programs and more.
