The province of Masbate was severely impacted by Typhoon Opong (international name: Typhoon Bualoi) on September 26, 2025, which caused extensive damage to homes and livelihoods. Many residents are still struggling to recover from the destruction.
Even amid these hardships, the faithful brethren in the island province held firmly to their faith. With God’s help, they were strengthened by the love and mutual care flowing among the brethren, both near and far. This care was further magnified by a deeply heartfelt visit from someone very close to their hearts.
On October 20, 2025, Brother Daniel Razon, the MCGI Overall Servant, personally came to check on the condition of the brethren in Masbate affected by the typhoon. Together with the MCGI Riders and servants of Region 5 Bicol, they delivered much-needed aid. This assistance was made possible through the united efforts of brethren from various places, all working to ease the burden on those affected.
His visit reached the brethren in the locales of Calpi, Cataingan, Palanas, Pio V. Corpus, and Masbate City. Each locale chapter warmly welcomed Kuya Daniel with overwhelming joy and gratitude. Alongside the relief efforts, they also assessed the needs for the reconstruction of damaged locale chapters and the homes of affected brethren, and rebuilding works were promptly initiated.
Overwhelming joy filled the hearts of all, as this was the first time for most of the brethren in Masbate to meet Kuya Daniel, and also his first visit to their province. Despite the distance and the harsh weather, nothing hindered Kuya Daniel’s desire to personally check on the brethren and serve them in every way possible.
Kuya Daniel brought not only the care and support from fellow brethren but also a palpable joy that was warmly welcomed—a much-needed comfort in such a time of crisis.
Thanks be to God for giving us Kuya Daniel, who is always ready to serve the brethren and offer himself in service, all through God’s mercy and help.
To God be the highest praise and all the glory!
