MCGI and UNTV Medical Outreach Help More than 400 in Cebu

More than 400 residents of Brgy. Quiot in Cebu City availed the free medical and dental services offered by UNTV and Members Church of God International (MCGI) during their charitable outreach conducted earlier this month.

Lack of available livelihood and the massive fire incident that hit the area in February affected its residents. The UNTV and MCGI medical team came as a big help for the residents of Brgy. Quiot.

Among those who sought consultation was Wynnrose Belandria, a single mom whose infant has been suffering from recurring coughs and colds. Ms. Belandria only earns money through her sari-sari store to provide the needs for her six-month-old baby.

“It is great because the residents here had nothing, [they avail services] for free,” said Belandria. “It is really great because they provide joy to the people who have small budget and it also helps those who are sick and to the grandmothers who have eye problems and also vitamins for us”

More than 400 individuals availed of free medical, dental and optical services, such as tooth extraction, medical consultation, and optical check-up.

“We did not know how you found us, but we know that you exerted effort to find out the barangays that are in need of Kuya’s medical mission,” said Brgy. Councilor Gerry Auxiliao Jr. “That is why we are very thankful and we are hoping you will return and not grow tired because many are really sick.”

MCGI, a Christian religious organization, has Bro. Eli Soriano as Overall Servant supports UNTV’s advocacy to help people who are in need regardless of race, life status and religion.

Kuya Daniel Razon is CEO and President of Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International (BMPI), the content creator and advocate of public services in UNTV News and Rescue.

One of the charitable efforts consistently conducted by MCGI and UNTV is the medical mission which the citizens and individuals get to avail.
