Filipino Community in Australia Recognizes MCGI for Outreach Efforts

Queensland, Australia – The Filipino Community Council of Australia (FILCCA) recognized the New South Wales and Victorian chapters of the Members Church of God International (MCGI) for their unwavering public service contribution.

The awarding was held during the Gala Dinner of FILCCA’s 14th Filipino National Conference on October 28 this year at Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.

The FILCCA group said the New South Wales and Victorian chapters of MCGI “really deserve to be recognized.”

Philippine Ambassador to Australia Minda Calaguian-Cruz told interviewers that honoring these Filipino organizations and individuals is a good opportunity for them to be an inspiration to the youth.

The MCGI Australia chapter is thankful for the commendation as it serves as another inspiration to keep on doing good deeds.

“We will keep on doing this because of the advocacy of Kuya Daniel and Brother Eli that good deeds will bear no evil fruit. To God be the glory!,” expressed Bro. Reyes.

(From Right) Bro Efren Baquing and Bro Resty Reyes, MCGI Representatives in Australia, received the award from FILCCA in behalf of MCGI Overall Servants Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon.

Known for Doing Good Deeds

MCGI and its media partner UNTV, which supports all the advocacies of the group, consistently organize blood donation drives, clean-up initiatives, and visitations to eldercare facilities in Australia.

Bro. Baquing said that despite FILCCA’s recognition of the organization’s contribution to the community, “this is for the honor of the Lord. That’s why we always say, “To God be the glory.”

UNTV correspondents were also acknowledged during the awards night for their free coverage of the whole conference.

Outstanding Filipino Achiever

MCGI’s A Song of Praise (ASOP) Singer-Composer Ms. Sally Morgan was similarly accorded by FILCCA for using her God-given talent in composing a heartfelt song of praise to God.

Morgan serenaded the Filipinos with her awe-inspiring composition, “Walang Hanggan Kitang Sasambahin” (I Will Worship You Forever).

MCGI commits itself in doing good deeds, spending every single moment and rendering talents to serve and inspire our fellowmen. Through the teachings of the Lord in the Bible, MCGI Overall Servants consistently lead and remind the congregation to do good unto all wherever they may be.
