As the evening reached its peak, the focus shifted to the true essence of the gathering: active compassion. Each team presented a beneficiary from their respective locale to receive much-needed support.
The team from Bubucal chose Brother Armando Albaren Jr., who lives with XDP (X-linked Dystonia-Parkinsonism). He was provided with financial assistance for his medical check-ups and treatment. Having recently undergone surgery to receive a specialized implanted medical device, this support is vital for his ongoing recovery and the continued care required to manage his daily challenges.
In a similar spirit of care, the team from San Pablo presented Brother Sonny Sical, a stroke survivor whose unwavering zeal remains a profound inspiration. He was provided with seed capital to start a small business, giving him a source of daily income as he continues his recovery.
In line with Kuya Daniel’s constant guidance to prioritize the welfare of our brethren, the gathering served as a timely opportunity to offer practical aid. Through God’s help and mercy, the health and livelihood of the brethren remain a consistent priority — their needs met with love and care.
The core of every gathering is to fulfill the commandments of Christ through mercy. This is the ultimate spiritual exercise, as declared in 1 Timothy 4:8:
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”
Thanks be to God for this brotherhood, where brotherly love is beyond compare. Through His help and mercy, we in MCGI continue to prioritize the godliness that sustains us in this life and prepares us for the eternal life to come.
To God be the glory!
