Newly Baptized Testimonials: August 23, 2013

Read short testimonials of faith from some of MCGI’s newly baptized members on August 23, 2013.

Bro. Fausto Reyes, 71, Former Catholic, Pampanga Province

On Being Baptized
I feel happy. First of all I thank the Lord that I was once of those He chose to give an opportunity to become a member in the Church of God. My great thanks really goes to the Lord firstly.

Then, to those who give guide on His teachings through the leadership of Bro. Eli and his co-worker, Bro. Daniel and others who assist in the ministry, I give my heartfelt thanks. I’ve long been hearing the news of God through Bro. Eli so I give thanks this day.

I give thanks for this opportunity the Lord gave. It is the Lord God who lead me here to be a member in the true Church.

On MCGI Leaders
I give thanks to Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel who lead this ministry. Many, many thanks to them.

Bro. Edgardo Balilo, 46, Former Catholic, Tarlac Province

On Being Baptized
Through my workmate who is a member of the Church, I was encouraged to come here. He invited me to listen [to Bro. Eli Soriano] and thanks be to God that I found this organization. I feel really nice that I became a member here. I’m glad that I became a brother.

On MCGI Leaders
To Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, I thank God because through your preaching, I learned the truth. I hope that they continue their evangelization of God’s Word.

Bro. Timothy James Badajos, 21, Former Baptist, Cavite Province

On Being Baptized
I became a member through the teachings of Bro. Eli on television. I got really amazed by the very many verses I saw, so I though of attending in the Locale of Imus. This is the doctrine that can’t be refuted by anyone.

When I was baptized, I felt light. All the evil spirits that were in me were gone because of the new heart that God gave me. God also gave the Holy Spirit to guide me. I will stay firm in serving God till the end [with His help and mercy].

On MCGI Leaders
To Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, I thank them. God gave them to us so we can know the truth.

Bro. Raymundo P. Reyes Jr., 74, Former Methodist, Antipolo Province

On Being Baptized
My joy is overwhelming now that I’m baptized, because it’s only here that I found the true religion that I’ve been searching for. I’ve been long seeking for the true religion. I didn’t find it, but here.

Here is where I saw the Word of God, the truth. All Bro. Eli says he reads from the Bible, and he doesn’t say anything from his own. That’s why he’s the true preacher [who is] here in the Church of God. Thank you.

On MCGI Leaders
Bro Eli, Bro Daniel, may you continue doing all your efforts for the Church of God to spread in the whole world. We are thankful that there is a Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel who works and strives so that we will be many, and for [the Church of God] to be known in the whole world.

Bro. Roberto Ortazon, 46, Former Protestant, Quezon Province

On Being Baptized
First of all, I thank God because there’s still a true preacher nowadays. I understood the true doctrine.

I’ve been listening to Bro. Eli for about five years now. What’s unfortunate is that we’ve often times tried to get baptized, but there was always a hindrance. So I’m thankful because my wife and I were baptized today.

We were former Protestants and were active there. We got to listen to Bro. Eli because of our driver who listens on radio. Then coincidentally, there was already UNTV on Channel 50 in Infanta [where The Old Path is aired]. That’s when we got the more convinced that this is true.

On MCGI Leaders
We thank Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel. I hope that they’ll keep on preaching the good news and may God always bless them. May they also have more strength so that many more will be saved.

Bro. Kelvin Manage, 18, Former Catholic, Pampanga Province

On Being Baptized
When I wasn’t yet a member, I dream of bad things. But now I always pray and I’m quite happy.

I’ve long been listening [to Bro. Eli Soriano], and I even invited my friends. They however invite me to vices, but I said to them that I’m going to change.

On MCGI Leaders
Many, many thanks to them because what they teach can change people like me who before had many vices.

Bro. James Armand Lapuz, 42, Former Catholic, Pampanga

On Being Baptized
Now I feel relieved, and I’m thankful that I’ve been enlightened about so many things concerning our Father.

My mother always watched Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel so we watched as well. I said that, “It’s the Bible anyway and the topic is the Word of God.” I accepted it well and I believe it.

I’ve actually been listening perhaps since last year on television. It’s really God’s will that I have this opportunity [to be baptized] now.

On MCGI Leaders
I thank them because they gave me light in life. I feel good. It feels nice in my heart that I’ve received the righteousness of God.

Sis. Maria Carmela Regidor, 19, Former Born Again, Cavite Province

On Being Baptized
I feel happy. Like before when we were still in Cavite, we weren’t supposed to go on [with the baptism] as it was my husband’s payday today. Also, I was annoyed by him.

Then, I heard the last doctrine by Bro. Eli Soriano just a while ago — amazing. I got goosebumps and I feel good. I’ve long been a Born Again but I never experienced this kind of treatment.

August 11 marked our two years of watching The Old Path. It’s only now that we decided to be baptized because there were many hindrances, like those accusing that the religion is a cult.

When I was baptized, I felt that all my sins have been washed out, as if I was really born again! I’m really thankful to Bro. Eli that I saw him on TV.

On MCGI Leaders
Many thanks to them. If it weren’t for them, I would still be in my sins and I would still be deceived by my former religion on giving tithes. In my heart, the ten percent was hard to give. I asked myself why it had to be like that.

At least now I understand the true teachings, from marriage to tithing, to living with brethren and non-brethren.
