Newly Baptized Testimonials: December 6, 2013

Read short testimonials of faith from some of MCGI’s youngest brethren baptized on December 6, 2013 at the ADD Convention Center.

Bro. Vicente Perez, 49, Former Catholic, Rizal Province

On Being Baptized
I’m happy and thankful to God that I became a member in the true religion.

I started listening to [Bro. Eliseo Soriano] on radio in 1997. Then, I got to listen on UNTV and on the Internet. I saw and read that his basis is always from the Bible, purely truth.

On MCGI Leaders
Bro. Eli, Bro. Daniel, I am wholeheartedly thankful because God used you and now, I am here, a member of the Church of God because I saw this as the true religion.

Bro. Virgilio Macalalay, 40, Former Catholic, Laguna Province

On Being Baptized
I feel so very happy and it’s as if so many burdens have been taken away from me.

I got to listen to [Bro. Eliseo Soriano] in 2004 on radio. Then, it stopped until I got to watch him on television consistently in November of 2013.

What he says which are purely Bible-based served as a wake-up call to me regarding my former religion. It had so many errors, so it’s as if something drew me here.

On MCGI Leaders
To Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, I hope their lives will be longer that they may continue to lead many more in the Church of God.

Bro. Alvin John Navarro, 24, Former Catholic, Rizal Province

On Being Baptized
I’m happy because I feel cleansed of my sins, and have learnt the true teachings of the Holy Scriptures.

I watched the Bible Expositions on television continually. I don’t have a job now so I was able to pursue the indoctrination sessions. [The doctrines] are really true and you won’t hear them from other religions, because here, the essence of the Holy Scriptures are being explained.

On MCGI Leaders
I hope their lives will be longer that the Lord God will continue to use them that many more souls who are not members yet will learn much more [of the doctrines of Christ].

Sis. Dolores Bello, 48, Former Born Again, Cavite Province

On Being Baptized
All I can say is that I’m really happy that I was baptized. I feel light, and I have this fear of committing any sin. I feel really light and happy.

I got to listen on radio as we live on the mountains. I was a former Born Again and whenever I attended here, my husband wouldn’t let me.

I got to listen on radio and I said that what Bro. Eli teaches is true, that’s why I decided to be baptized. It was one year ago through Radyo La Verdad.

On MCGI Leaders
My message to Bro. Eli is that I thank the Lord, then Bro. Eli because if it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have learned the teachings of the Lord.

Bro. Nicasio and Sis. Sadyheny Biong, 41, Former Catholics, Laguna Province

On Being Baptized

Bro. Nicasio: It feels pleasant. I can’t explain it. It’s just different.

Sis. Sadyheny: I feel strong, getting stronger.

Both: We were able to watch on television, about one year ago.

Bro. Nicasio: I felt [different] because there were true teachings that weren’t being explained to us in our former [religion].

Sis. Sadyheny: We are spiritually fulfilled with what we hear. Your soul will really get satisfied.

On MCGI Leaders

Bro. Nicasio: Firstly for Bro. Eli, may the Lord give him a longer life, so that his preaching will last longer for those who are not yet members here. As well as with Bro. Daniel, may he be given more wisdom in preaching the word of the Lord God.

Sis. Sadyheny: May Bro. Eli be given more physical strength that the Lord may continue to use him for the lost souls.

Sis. Rizalina Fabian, 47, Former Catholic, Pampanga Province

On Being Baptized
I feel good. I feel as if I’m floating and I believe the doctrine is good. The things I heard are really pleasant and the brotherhood as well.

At the locale in Lourdes, they invite us. We watched [Bro. Eliseo Soriano] there for seven days. Sometimes [I watch] on television, as my husband, when he sees Bro. Eli Soriano on television, he watches, so I was able to watch as well.

In 1980, we had neighbors in San Jose, Del Monte, Bulacan who were members already. But it’s only now that I joined. I haven’t seen them, but when I do, they’ll be glad.

We moved here as my husband is Pampango. But our brethren-neighbors are still in Bulacan. I will see them as they are often here. They have transportation and have food whenever they come here.

I thought before that [they were going] to an excursion. But they were going to The Old Path instead. When I moved here, it was only then that I knew what “ADD (TOP)” was.

On MCGI Leaders
I’m thankful that God called me!
