Newly Baptized Testimonials: June 14, 2013

Read short testimonials of faith from MCGI’s youngest brethren baptized on June 14, 2013.

Sis. Elizabeth Boholano, 68, Former Catholic, Manila

On Being Baptized
I would go with our neighbors, who are already members, whenever they would worship until my heart was convinced of the preaching of Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, so I decided to get indoctrinated. I only worshipped with them for a few months, but my heart was really captivated and I decided to be here in this true Church. What Bro. Eli preaches is really true.

On MCGI Leaders
What I can only say about Bro. Eli when I saw him on TV, I said, what he preaches is good: the truths from the Bible. I have also heard others who preach the Bible but it was only with Bro. Eli that I found salvation. Also, he’s humble with people.

Sis. Melia Quirante, 51, Former Catholic, Manila

On Being Baptized
Now that I’m baptized, I feel light. It’s like all the things from the past are gone.

What really convinced me was when I watched television and there was someone asking Bro. Eli about blessing the tombs, and I heard his answer. If sprinkling tombs with holy water was the way to save the soul, then why not sprinkle all tombs? That’s when I felt I was awakened.

On MCGI Leaders
I hope that what I’ve heard on radio, what I saw on television will be heard also by our fellows that they may be lead by them [Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel] as well.

Sis. Charisse Leabres, 33, Former Catholic, Manila

On Being Baptized
I feel light, especially when you have received with your whole heart all the doctrines that you heard. I’m really very happy.

My parents are actually members already. I’ve been long hearing the teachings but I didn’t really absorb them that much. But now, since it’s already been a decade that has passed, maybe this is the right time [to be baptized]. That’s why when I got listened to the indoctrination, I continued [with baptism].

On MCGI Leaders
For Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, I hope that they will not tire in inviting people. I hope that many more will believe you. I hope that God will not stop in blessing you and in giving you strength and wisdom. Thanks be to God.

Sis. Donna Barca, 52, Former Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rizal Province

On Being Baptized
After I was baptized, I felt light inside. I remembered then that no matter how grave the sins you committed, the Lord can still forgive you through baptism, through the doctrines I heard.

I was a Catholic when I was a kid. Then I became a Born Again and was baptized before, but it’s different with the baptism in the Church of God where you feel it’s serious. Here, it’s really truthful, and the Gospel of the Lord is really here.

I became a member of Christian groups also, but I still didn’t know much; my knowledge of the Bible was still little. Unlike here in the Church of God, you can learn many verses in just one topic, almost all books from from Genesis to Revelation are read.

I’m really happy that I am now a member of the Church of God, and that I also have now a duty to fulfill being a sister now.

On MCGI Leaders
My message to Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel is that may the Lord always protect them and may they always be strong. May they also be far from any sickness wherever they may be. May God also keep them from bad spirits who continually work to taint their name.

Sis. Naomi Brizuela, 17, Former Catholic, Rizal Province

On Being Baptized
Of course, I thank God first because I’ve been delivered from the wrong religion I grew up in. I really thank God because I am now here in the Church.

On MCGI Leaders
To both Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, thanks be to God because I knew you. They were used by God to impart His words and teachings. May the Lord always keep them. Thanks be to God.

Sis. Andreanna Erika Villante, 17, KNC, Rizal Province

On Being Baptized
With God’s help and mercy, we have accepted the Word of God, with the help also of the people around us, and with God’s messengers. My parents are members and they also lead me here. I was a KNC [Kawan ng Kordero] before.

On MCGI Leaders
To Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, may the Lord always keep you. You are able to help so many through websites, through television that even my classmates know about [the Church].

Actually, I’ve already brought my classmate here, but she wasn’t able to continue due to her studies. But what they do is really of great help in leading people who grew up in the world [back to God].

Bro. Alex Chua, 50, Former Catholic, Manila

On Being Baptized
I’ve actually been listening since 1989 and Ang Dating Daan [The Old Path] was still on Channel 13 back then. I feel light because I know that my life already has direction.

On MCGI Leaders
I hope that they will be given more life so that they will be able to help many more, that the world will be better, that many will be good.

Bro. Jonathan Dilan, 26, Former Catholic, Manila

On Being Baptized
At first, my wife and I listened on the radio, then we watched on television. I feel light because finally, I’ve been baptized.

On MCGI Leaders
My message to Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, I’m thankful because if it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be like this now, happy to be baptized with the true Word of God.

Bro. Nestor Soriano, 41, Former Catholic, Bulacan Province

On Being Baptized
All I can say is that I’ve been searching for the right faith, and I’ve been looking for it for so long in my life because I’ve not worshipped in Catholicism for 13 years.

In my search in other religions like Born Again, Iglesia ni Cristo, and even in Jehovah’s Witnesses, I found Bro. Eli through UNTV Channel 37 preaching and it imprinted on my mind. That time, what he taught went straight to my heart and mind.

So I say, thanks be to the Lord that I found the right path I have been searching for when it comes to faith. Many, many thanks be to God.

On MCGI Leaders
I hope that Bro. Eli won’t tire and won’t be weary. May the Lord give him more strength that he be able to continue, that souls of our brethren who are still lost be saved.

Bro. Lery Molina, 30, Former Born Again, NCR

On Being Baptized
I really can’t say anything except that I was really amazed by the explanations of Bro. Eli, so I voluntarily underwent indoctrination here in the Church of God International.

I first heard Bro. Eliseo Soriano through television. One day, when I was drinking alone at my house, I watched UNTV Channel 37. I said to myself, “This is good.” I then stopped my drinking.

I started watching Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) way back in 2003, but not continually. But this year, almost every time I went home each night, I watched it until I learnt that there was an indoctrination.

On MCGI Leaders
Bro. Eli’s explanations are really understandable. Even if you don’t ask, he bases his explanations in the Bible. Also, he doesn’t teach as other Churches do that teach only partial [doctrines]. Here, he teaches all.

I hope that Bro. Eli will have longer life so that he will be able to help more, to spread the words and the righteousness of the Lord more. To those who don’t know the words of God yet, I hope they will do so already. I also hope that I’ll be able to see Bro. Eli personally.

Bro. Oscar Cruz, 32, Former Catholic, Bulacan

On Being Baptized
I’m happy that I’m one of those who heard the highest calling of the Lord. I feel refreshed, like a newborn baby. It’s as if I don’t have any problems in life. The sad things and experiences of the past, the sins I committed, it’s like I’ve forgotten them all.

On MCGI Leaders
For Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel: Many, many thanks for tirelessly preaching what will make our fellows better, especially to the Filipino people.

I hope that you will continue to be strong despite criticisms and issues. May the Lord Jesus continue to guide us in all that we do. And I hope that many more will know the true God and the true Church of God. Thanks be to God.
