Newly Baptized Testimonials: March 7, 2014

Read short testimonials of faith from some of MCGI’s youngest brethren baptized on March 7, 2014 at the ADD Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga.

Bro. Alberto Da, 55, Former Born Again, Pangasinan

On Being Baptized
I felt good inside. When I was being baptized by Bro. Rudy Alamares, I answered all his questions with a “yes” and I was crying all the while. That was my experience. While he was asking questions, I kept answering “Yes,” and was sobbing the whole time until I was immersed in water.

I started watching Bro.Eli through cable TV about a year ago.

On MCGI Leaders
Thank you Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel. I’m a pastor, and [when] I understood his explanations of the Bible, I felt guilty; because my teachings lack something and I don’t like to teach my members erroneous things because I don’t want God to punish me.

That’s why when I was listening to Bro.Eli on TV through “Itanong Mo Kay Soriano, Biblia ang Sasagot,” I learned a lot of things, especially because he’s straightforward and he’s never out of context.

I [used to be] a pastor, but I sometimes am mistaken [with my interpretations]. So I’d like to thank God for Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel because God is using them to preach the whole truth in the Bible.

Sis. Diana Zacarias, 39, Former Catholic, Rizal Province

On Being Baptized
I feel happy. Twice as happy. Actually this is not the first time I got indoctrinated in the Church, the first attempt got interrupted so it’s like I just continued. I missed [listening to the doctrines].

At first, it was through TV that I got to watch the program, and then I sort of followed through by attending Bible Expositions, and then watching videos on Youtube.

Until one day I started looking for indoctrination but there seemed to be a lot of obstacles along the way so I had to look for another session again. I continued looking for those sessions.

Even if I felt that there were a lot of prohibitions, I told myself I need to find time to attend another session. Fortunately, a Bible Exposition was held within my area, but since I was working then, I had a hard time [attending].

I mean, “You’re already tired but you’re still going”. So I told myself, I will look for indoctrination sessions. And then I learned of the indoctrination session set last February 27, so I went there.

Even if I’m attending at 7 p.m., I need to complete this. Again, it was interrupted because I had something going on at work that time. I realized then that my batch mates during the session has moved ahead and I was left behind. I told myself that I really needed to continue the session. I decided to be absent at work.

I started listening to Bro. Eli in 1998. He was still here in the Philippines, I was able to see him on stage. But now I just see him on TV when I’m at home. I’m [hopeful] I will be able to see him [personally].

On MCGI Leaders
When I first heard him, I was really enlightened, because I used to be a Catholic but I can’t understand [their teachings] as they were very confusing. I [used to tell myself], “What’s that?!”

That’s when I started getting interested, especially when Bro.Eli said “Don’t delay!” So now I decided not to delay [my baptism] anymore. I needed to really go for it I told myself. My mom was so surprised. But I’m really grateful to God for Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel.

Sis. Ludy Bonilia, 38, Former Catholic, Pampanga Province

On Being Baptized
I felt very light inside and my problems went away.

My siblings, actually my whole family are already members of the Church. I used to be the only one who wasn’t yet baptized. I’ve been listening to Bro. Eli for a long time now.

I also go with my father during indoctrination. My husband and I got separated, and he went overseas. After that, I turned to God [and got baptized]. Thank God.

On MCGI Leaders
He preaches well and he gives what he can and what he has to our brethren.

Bro. Gener Cabigting, 59, Former Catholic, Pampanga Province

On Being Baptized
Right now, I am happy that I found the true path towards God.

I am delighted because I have a child who led me here. In fact, when I was being immersed in water, it felt like my chest was relieved because of the teachings I accepted through the indoctrination before I got baptized.

That’s why I am grateful to God for Bro. Eli, and that a preacher [of God] emerged in our time. [I am thankful] for the teaching that our thanksgiving should be to God. He is the One who knows everything about our life. That’s all I can say.

I’ve been a listener of Bro. Eli for a long time, maybe more than ten years even. I was even listening to him through the radio.

It’s just that I couldn’t join the Church because I had kids who were still at school and I had a lot of obligations to them. But now that they have all graduated, I prepared myself and my heart.

On MCGI Leaders
To Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, thank you very, very much because I found this organization, and that you are truly the men whom God sent to us sinners. Thank God also for Bro. Daniel who always helps Bro. Eli with works to help us in our salvation. Thanks be to God that He gave these two to us. Thank you.

Sis. Jemmacil Abad, 40, Former Catholic, Cavite Province

On Being Baptized
I felt good. The hatred vanished. I actually [used to] have hatred in my heart. Ever since I was a little kid I already have this anger. I took it to heart since then, but today it’s all gone.

I started listening to Bro. Eli just recently, just last February 24 when they held a Bible Exposition.

On MCGI Leaders
I hope Bro. Eli will be healed from his afflictions and stay healthy. And I pray that he will still be able to help many people to look for salvation.
