Newly Baptized Testimonials: November 1, 2013

Read short testimonials of faith from some of MCGI’s youngest brethren baptized on November 1, 2013 at the ADD Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga.

Bro. Ericson Viloria, 28, Former Protestant, NCR

On Being Baptized
I thank God because for the longest time, I’ve been longing to get baptized; God heard my prayers for me to be baptized and be cleansed of the sins that I’ve done.

I first heard [Bro. Eliseo Soriano] on television; [I also heard him] on radio and on the Internet. I think I listened to Bro. Eli for about seven years.

Actually, I read the Bible and God gave me understanding for me to understand it, but it seems lacking. But when I heard Bro. Eli, it’s like it became complete. Everyday I had many questions I wanted to ask Bro. Eli about the Bible, but time came when I learned them.

On MCGI Leaders
I thank Bro Eli because there is a preacher like him whom God appointed to lead people to salvation.

Bro. Fortunato Lim, 50, Former Catholic, Rizal Province

On Being Baptized
I feel that in my baptism, it’s as if I’ve forgotten all the evil deeds I was used to doing. [I hope] that my understanding of the word of God will broaden, and [to know] how to share it with others, and invite them to be members of our Church: The Church of God.

I will start with my wife as a new Mass Indoctrination begins, as well as with my children. If not that time, in other occasions, so they’ll be with me, and we’ll be together when salvation comes and be in the kingdom of God in eternity.

I don’t want to be [the only one who is a member]. I want my whole family, my parents, my brethren, my children, and fellowmen [to join too].

On MCGI Leaders
My message to Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, may God lengthen their lives. May they reach many more places and many more people to be saved. May sickness not come to them, and may all problems, financial or whatever it may be, as long as the Lord is there to guide [them], all have solutions.

As the Bible says, we shouldn’t fear as God will answer all, and that He knows all our needs. We don’t need to worry about anything. I hope that the [preaching] of our Church will broaden more in scope.

Bro. Jade and Sis. Benny Repolona, 19 and 27, Former Catholics, Cavite Province

On Being Baptized

Bro. Jade: I’ve been listening [to Bro. Eliseo Soriano] for a few months now because of my older brother. I’m happy that I am now baptized in the Church of God.

Sis. Benny: We bought a Bible and when his older brother saw that we were reading, there were many… [what? Incompletes should be clarified, request elaboration.] So his older brother said that we should research on television. “Aren’t there many religions on TV being shown?” he said.

When he did, he found Bro. Eli’s preaching about the Bible to be better than the others. The others, they were more on collections, more on getting money from members, so we chose this.

We’re happy because now there’s only one religion at home.

On MCGI Leaders

Bro. Jade: I hope that they will be able to preach to other people.

Sis. Benny: To Bro. Eli, may his life be longer, because I know that he’s sick now. Whenever I see him with suffering… I hope that he’ll be able to preach more in the whole world and may he continue to spread the doctrines of God.

Bro. Ray Caballes, 51, Former Catholic, Bulacan Province

On Being Baptized
I feel good [that] I understand the doctrines. I always go here with my wife. Then, also in the Locale of Guadalupe, we go there. My wife became a member here and I go with her.

On MCGI Leaders
All I can say is that may they pray for us that we may be able to fulfill our duties as their new brothers in faith.

Bro. Rozenberg Villalobos, 16, Former Catholic, Cavite Province

On Being Baptized
I thank God so much because I have long known this true Church, so I really waited. Since 2009, I’ve been able to attend a Thanksgiving service and I got to listen to the Ask Bro. Eli and Ang Dating Daan [The Old Path] programs.

I really waited to undergo this process of baptism. I’m thankful even though I’m the only one in my family who is baptized. I’m thankful because I’m here in the true Church. I really need to keep my faith.

On MCGI Leaders
Firstly, I thank God so much because they are really helping and saving many people. I hope that they will continue that. May the Lord lengthen their lives. Many, many thanks to God because they are there, guiding us, helping us to be nearer to God.
