Newly Baptized Testimonials: October 18, 2013

Read short testimonials of faith from some of MCGI’s youngest brethren baptized on October 18, 2013 at the ADD Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga.

Sis. Lorena Dizon, 43, Former Catholic, Pampanga Province

On Being Baptized
I was able to watch [Bro. Eli Soriano] on television. I just listen to his Bible Expositions then after three months, I decided to get indoctrinated. I’m happy. I have no doubt in my heart.

On MCGI Leaders
I hope that he’ll have a longer life. I hope that he’ll be able to help many more people, lead many more souls to the truth, because the world now is chaotic. [I hope that] those listening to his doctrines will continue to be baptized, until they become brethren in faith.

Bro. Ronald Naluz, Former KNC, Pampanga Province

On Being Baptized
I have accepted the teachings of Bro. Eli accordingly. I’m happy. I can’t explain the happiness that I feel.

On MCGI Leaders
Many thanks to Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel [for] I have known the truth [in the Bible].

Bro. Jose Concep Tawat, 71, Former Catholic, Laguna Province

On Being Baptized
The night before in Laguna, I’ve been thinking about my vertigo and blurring eyesight, hoping that both may be gone. Because whenever I remove my glasses, I feel something’s blocking [my sight].

As I went into the water, my knees shook. After I was immersed, I was kind of surprised when [the baptizer] said, “Do you still need help?” I said, “Not anymore. I’m fine.”

It’s as if my vertigo was gone. Then, after I changed my clothes, I no longer needed my glasses.

My in-law became a member [of the Church of God] one year ago. I, on the other hand, was still reluctant. Since I was Catholic, there were many [idols] that were on my altar.

Then he said to me, “Dad, when we are all members here, let’s remove those idols.” I shrugged my shoulder. Then he said, “Come on! You should go on with [the indoctrination], so the feelings you feel will be gone.

When they called for the Mass Indoctrination [on October 7, 2013] , I started it and continued with the baptism. I said to myself, “I’m going to go on with this,” especially when I heard the teachings of Bro. Eli [about baptism].

On MCGI Leaders
I cannot say anything more, except that this religion I joined is really different. This is the true Church. That is why I thank the Lord Jesus Christ and the Lord God. Thank you Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel. Thanks be to God.

Bro. Rico Guerrero, 21, Former Catholic, Cavite Province

On Being Baptized
Now, I feel that I’ve been so much enlightened, like really so much. I hope that in the days to come, whatever will happen to me, He’ll guide me.

I can say that this experience is very interesting; I learned a lot. The things I thought were right, are wrong; the things that I used to do, I shouldn’t have done. This is a turning point for me.

On MCGI Leaders
For Bro. Eli, he’s old, so may he be given more strength; and wisdom on the spiritual aspect that he may continue what he started, because it’s really good.

For Bro. Daniel, may he keep on doing what he does, because it’s inspiring for people like us. We are inspired by people like them. [We hoped before] that someday we could serve God as well.

Sis. Arianne Acebuche, 19, Former KNC, Laguna Province

On Being Baptized
I feel changed, a new person. Unlike before when I was quite hard-headed. I was always going out with friends until I realized [my sins]. He [Bro. Johnie Recto] was really the one who lead me here.

Actually, it was supposed to be the other way around because my parents are already members. But with God’s help and mercy, [I’m here].

On MCGI Leaders
They preach honestly. They are sent by God. They are not unlike those who are false ones out there. Other preachers will bring you to hell. There are those who teach their members to kill, and not love their enemies.

Bro. Johnny Recto, 21, Former Catholic, Laguna Province

On Being Baptized
All I can say is that it’s good. Everything will benefit you.

I’m really not into vices; I didn’t have [bad habits]. But then when I became a member, it’s really here that I learned the benefits of what I was doing, plus the pleasant words from Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel.

It was kind of an accident on cable when I switched the channel [and saw The Old Path], since sometimes the channel lineup is different on cable. Then, she [Sis. Arianne Acebuche] became my girlfriend. Since her parents are members, I also listened to the program.

On MCGI Leaders
I hope he [Bro. Eli Soriano] enlightens more youth’s minds, those aged 19 or 16 who have taken illegal drugs. Sometimes, even a five-year old swears already; they are not properly guided by their parents.

Bro. John Jose Louise Sarza, 25, Former KNC, NCR

On Being Baptized
We were able to listen at first on radio through Don Manolo Favis’ [program]. Then, it was on SBN 21. Actually, my parents are already members. It’s a long time that I wasted [before being baptized] as I was a KNC before.

With God’s mercy, He really guided me until I reached baptism, and it was a success. All I can say is that I feel very light, because the sins we bore for so long have been cleansed.

On MCGI Leaders
To Bro. Eli, you are always in our prayers and we are thankful because God used him for us brethren to be enlightened. Of course, [I wish him more] strength, and may he continue [using] the gift God gave him. Many thanks.

Sis. Kim Quilla, 21, Former Catholic, Rizal Province

On Being Baptized
I first heard [Bro. Eliseo Soriano] on television. My aunt is already a member and my cousin lead me here. I really felt the true doctrines. I saw the great difference with my last religion.

I’m happy and I feel relieved, as if something was taken away from me. But above all, my faith in God [has changed]. Before, I was Catholic and my faith was in idols. But when I heard the true doctrines, it changed. Everything changed when I heard the teachings of Bro. Eli.

On MCGI Leaders
Bro. Eli, this is all I can say: Firstly, I thank God for calling me, and to you. Take care always.

Bro. Jun Paulino, 24, Former Catholic, Rizal Province

On Being Baptized
Before even when I prayed, it felt like I wasn’t being heard. But now that I’m baptized, I feel that my faith is stronger. Actually, my family are already members; I was a KNC (Kawan ng Cordero or Children’s Ministry) member before.

Only, I got back to being a Catholic and then got invited to other religions, so I was also able to investigate. But then, it’s only here that I found the true teachings. All the questions that formed in my mind were answered even in the indoctrination sessions alone. With God’s help, I was able to understand them.

On MCGI Leaders
To Bro. Eli, may God give you more time to be able to preach for a long period, even, God willing, [until] the Lord Jesus Christ arrives.

Bro. Joebert Rellama, 21, Former Born Again, Cavite Province

On Being Baptized
I thank the Lord because I have been baptized in the Holy Spirit, in the name of the Lord. I felt the presence of God when I was baptized.

It’s as if He touched me, that I really needed to change, as I was a Catholic before. Now when there was a Born Again member who preached to us, I joined the Born Again. But still, I wanted to know more, but I didn’t want to ask.

So I watched [UNTV] Channel 37, even on my older brother’s cellphone. I was able to listen to Bro. Eli Soriano preach. That’s when I learned many things, like the prohibitions. I learned that pastors shouldn’t let themselves be called pastors as we are all just brethren. There is only one pastor, the Lord.

On MCGI Leaders
I thank Bro. Eli because of him, I learned what I must know. My wish to the Lord for Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel is to keep giving them physical and spiritual strength, and wisdom that they may be able to explain well to people the words of the Lord.

May they also be given, God willing, longer lives that they may be able to teach, indoctrinate [more people] with God’s words.
