The MCGI Music Ministry celebrates the achievements of trainees and aspirants through “Pagsulong”

Singing praises to the Highest and playing songs for Him is emphasized in the Bible as a good deed. Thus, in fulfilling the commandment of doing all good, the Members Church of God International (MCGI) supports the endeavors of its choir and orchestra members — collectively called the MCGI Music Ministry.

“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.”

After going through musical training, aspirants and trainees of the MCGI Music Ministry will graduate to be promoted as regular members. This commencement event is aptly called “Pagsulong”, a Filipino word for advancement.

The event will be held on October 9, 2022 at the La Verdad Auditorium in Apalit, Pampanga and will also be available via live streaming and video conferencing platforms.

Every Pagsulong event serves as a celebration thanking God for all the achievements and progress of the MCGI Music Ministry aspirants and trainees throughout their training. 

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Each trainee underwent 5 months or 23 weeks of music school. The class orientation of this batch happened on April 9, 2022 and classes officially started a week after. The training included Hymnology, Basic Music Theory, Tanging Awit Class, Vocal Production and Solfege, Choreography Class and Personality Development, among others.

A celebration to thank God 

Around 700 trainees and aspirants who worked hard over the past couple of months are expected to attend this event. With God’s help and mercy, their hard work and perseverance will be celebrated. It will be a great opportunity to gather in celebration of their God-given gift of music.

Pagsulong will start at 10 a.m. Philippine Time on the 9th of October. The event will be held live at the La Verdad Auditorium and will be simulcasted over live streaming and video conferencing platforms.
