Pampanga, Philippines – El Salvador and Guatemala become the latest Latin American countries to be reached by the El Camino Antiguo (The Old Path) broadcast.

El Camino Antiguo, The Old Path’s Spanish version, launched its 24-hour-a-day national television broadcast via Canal 61 on January 15, 2014. The program made its debut on Guatemalan television on February 1, 2014.

Guatemalans can watch El Camino Antiguo from 11:30 PM to 12:30 AM on weekdays, and 8 AM to 9 AM on weekends.

On May 13, 2013, The Old Path’s Spanish version aired via Canal 9 in Costa Rica. Hondurans on the other hand were able to tune in to the program a year earlier via Canal 7.

Bolivia saw El Camino Antiguo in 2011, while Portugal watched O Caminho Antigo the same year.

The flagship program of the Members Church of God International (MCGI) The Old Path or locally known as Ang Dating Daan, started in the Philippines in 1980. Hosted by MCGI Leaders Bro. Eliseo Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon, Ang Dating Daan remains as the country’s longest-running religious program.

Today, it can be watched in six of the seven continents via free, cable and satellite TV, and the Internet.

Honduras, Another Step Towards Global Evangelization

Starting May 19, El Camino Antiguo in Honduras is on. The television broadcast is set to show Bible Expositions, Ask Bro. Eli, The Bible Will Answer (La Biblia Le Responderá), and other biblical topics.

In 2011, El Camino Antiguo, the Spanish version of The Old Path program, could only be viewed via free-to-air and cable TV in Honduras. It will now be airing seven days a week on national television via Teleceiba Canal 7.

The local broadcast, mainly for Spanish speaking people, is carried by AMNET, CLARO and SKY cable channels. The 24//7 satellite broadcast on the other hand is brought by NSS 806. This is part of Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon’s effort in global evangelization, to spread the doctrines of Christ from the Bible.

El Camino Antiguo in Honduras is also an answer to Hondurans who keep on writing Bro. Eli to come to their country and preach the gospel.

The Republic of Honduras in Central America borders the Caribbean Sea. Spanish is the official language while English is the most common foreign language. According to CIA world fact book, their population is estimated at eight million.

Hondurans can tune in to Teleceiba Canal 7 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 11 p.m. to 12 m.n. on weekdays and from 8:30 to 9:30 in the evening on weekends to watch Bro. Eli’s programs.

Bolivia and Portugal Welcome MCGI Broadcasts

Members Church of God International is now broadcasting Spanish and Portuguese versions of the award-winning Ang Dating Daan in Bolivia and Portugal this month. The debut of the two language broadcasts hosted by Bro. Eli Soriano, the presiding minister to the MCGI, are latest additions to the organization’s increasing presence in South America and Europe.

Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) is the longest running religious TV program in the Philippines that in the last five years saw international expansion.

El Camino Antiguo (The Old Path) program in Bolivia is shown daily from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Universal de Television (UNITEL). After just one week of broadcast, listeners were already asking for indoctrination and religious services, according to Bro. Eli.

In Portugal, O Caminho Antigo (The Old Path) is carried by Channel Kurios TV, with schedules from Monday to Sunday, at 8:00 p.m. (20:00).

Demands for Bible studies and baptism from people in Argentina and India have increased following the inauguration of broadcasts in these nations. To respond to these needs, Bro. Daniel Razon, vice-presiding minister to MCGI, said that deployment of Church workers and translation efforts will be increased.

“We need to communicate with all kinds of people from all nations with varying languages,” said Bro. Daniel. “This is why we do all that we can to translate. So we need to move, each one of us, brothers and sisters; we have an obligation.”

The “Ang Dating Daan” or “The Old Path” is MCGI’s religious radio, TV and web program broadcasting for more than two decades now. Today, translated versions of the “Ang Dating Daan” are shown in six continents.
