The Members Church of God International (MCGI) entered a contract with Crystal TV network to carry The Old Path television program in Ghana, Africa, intensifying the group’s evangelization efforts worldwide.

Presiding Minister to MCGI, Bro. Eliseo Soriano spearheaded the signing of agreement that officially brings the phenomenal religious program via free-to-air television to the people of Ghana beginning July 1 this year.

Crystal TV is one of the channels with the widest coverage in the whole of Ghana. The Old Path’s 30-minute program will be carried by Crystal TV Plus channel 47. The multi-awarded religious program will be aired daily, from Mondays through Saturdays, at 6 a.m. On Sundays, the show airs at 9:30 p.m.

Crystal TV Plus is one of the three channels owned by Crystal TV, which focuses on recreational and religious programming. The other two channels, Crystal TV Extra and Crystal TV Prime carries program focused on news and current events, sports and entertainment, respectively.

Religious programming in Ghana must adhere to the state’s strict code of conduct for all broadcast materials being aired on radio and television. Incidentally upon reviewing The Old Path and the international evangelist’s manner and style of hosting, the show and Bro. Eli were approved as suited for programming by Crystal TV.

Even the station’s owner vouches for Bro. Eli and The Old Path, related Bro. Fred Cabanilla, who is the Tagapangasiwang Pampook in Africa. “They previewed the program and the owner [Crystal TV] said that Bro. Eli is not inciting when preaching, [rather,] he sees knowledge [in him].”

In Africa, Ghana has been identified as the most peaceful country. With a population of 24- million, the country’s people are almost 100% enthusiastic about religion.

Bro. Cabanilla has seen the tremendous growth in membership since his designation to the African regions. He has high hopes for the propagation of God’s words not just in Ghana, but also in the entire continent.

“I believe that with MCGI’s united efforts to support evangelization, the whole continent of Africa will be reached and not only Ghana,” he further stressed.

Currently, MCGI has one administrative building in Ghana and eight coordinating centers, with eleven workers overseeing African and Filipino brethren

MCGI: Mark Your Hebrew Calendar. It’s Year 5773!

Welcome Year 5773 in the calendar followed by the Lord Jesus Christ!
Following the calendar observed by the Lord Jesus Christ, the Members Church of God International will welcome Year 5773 in the Hebrew Calendar on March 11, 2013.

“I will not greet you happy new year coz this is not the new year we are celebrating in faith!” – Bro. Eli Soriano, Twitter, 31st December, 2012

Come March 11th of this year, the Members Church of God International (MCGI) will welcome the first day of Year 5773 in the Hebrew Calendar, a celebration dubbed as Christian New Year in the congregation.

Unlike in the Roman Calendar when a new day begins after midnight, a day starts in the Hebrew Calendar at sundown (Genesis 1:5, 8, 13, 19, 23, 31). Hence, the Church of God members will start gathering at the ADD Convention Center in Pampanga and at Coordinating Centers across the globe, at around 5 p.m. (Philippine time).

Activities include the singing of songs and prayers to God by members. Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel Razon are also expected to deliver a biblical topic before the members who will monitor the proceedings via Internet and satellite facilities.

Meanwhile, twelve days following the said date is a similar service, albeit for a different celebration: the Lord’s Supper. This year, MCGI will commemorate the Lord’s Supper on March 23 beginning at 5 p.m. (also Philippine time).

The Lord’s Supper

Not straying from the Bible’s own words, the annual event is called the “Lord’s Supper” and not “Holy Supper” nor “Last Supper.” (1 Corinthians 11:20)

For the commemoration of Christ’s sufferings to cleanse the sins of men, MCGI Leaders Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel will prepare a special topic for the sermon. The spiritual meal taught to the MCGI brethren is symbolic of the bread the Lord Jesus shared with the Apostles.

Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel will, however, also provide a common, material meal for the brethren to eat for free.

It is common knowledge that Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel make sure that all of MCGI’s doctrines, practices, and observances are patterned after those of first-century Christians as admonished by the Lord and his Apostles. The celebration of Christian New Year and the commemoration of Christ’s suffering are just two of several bible-based events observed in MCGI.

MCGI Overall Servants Dedicate a Day of Charity Works to Nueva Ecija Brethren

About 400 brethren received medical and dental care on February 10, the day when Bro. Eli
Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon dedicated a whole day of charity works for Church members in the
 Nueva Ecija province.

The Overall Servants to the Members Church of God
International (MCGI) also extended health care checkups for both adults and children and
gave eyeglasses and dentures, all for free.

Bro. Daniel visited the brethren in Nueva Ecija, a province north of Manila, to personally
oversee the charity outreach, including the distribution of gift packages that include food,
 money and health supplements.

MCGI gives special consideration to the widows, orphans and the elderly with James 1:27 as
basis when mounting charity works.

In the evening, Bro. Eli gave time to hear about the members’
problems in life and faith during the Consultation segment of the program. The international evangelist heard and addressed members’ concerns via live video streaming.

Rendering his voice to inspirational songs of praise, Bro. Daniel held a concert to the sincere delight of the brethren.

Bro. Daniel, who is also himself a singer and songwriter, capped the day by throwing a
concert for the brethren. Crooning songs of praise and encouragement, Bro. Daniel rendered
musical numbers of faith that brought many smiles and tears to the members. He was joined
on stage by the ADD Band, the Music Ministry Core, and the Teatro Kristiano.

The whole-day event ensued as a follow-up activity after Bro. Daniel’s visit to the Church
region on January 27 this year, as part of MCGI Overall Servants’ duty to visit the brethren and know their condition in faith.

Doing good to others especially to members is one of the Church’s doctrines, as written in
Galatians 6:10. Hence, its various daily public service works through media network UNTV and the ADD Foundation.

From a small and cramped garage to the world: MCGI airs new 24-hour Spanish-language broadcast

Emanating from a small garage cleverly transformed into a makeshift-broadcasting studio, International Evangelist, Bro. Eli Soriano will soon be heard in all Spanish- speaking nations all over the world.

Starting this month of July, a new 24-hour broadcast, La Verdad TV will air Spanish language programmes being produced by the Members Church of God International (MCGI).

The Filipino preacher, who is also the Presiding Minister to the MCGI, made the announcement during the 2nd quarterly International Thanksgiving to God or ITG celebration, held from July 6 to 8, 2012.

“This space measures just seven steps in width and seven steps in length; our studio is more or less 46 to 48 square meters,” Bro. Eli said as he described the garage lot where the broadcasting of the new La Verdad TV will originate.

“This is where our broadcast to all parts of the world will emanate from. Everyone will be able to watch our program – the brethren and all the people of the world,” added Bro. Eli who was speaking before the congregation worldwide through live streaming.

MCGI Vice-Presiding Minister Bro. Daniel Razon also described the intended nonstop broadcast of God’s words over Spanish-speaking lands. He explained that while La Verdad TV will focus on the Spanish-speaking population, TV Verdade in turn will concentrate on Portuguese-speaking nations.

Bro. Eli, who will soon be leading the major evangelization broadcasts of MCGI dedicated to the world’s two most-spoken languages, will be speaking from a spot in South America. Now converted into a small studio, the preacher’s small, crammed garage appears ready to accommodate more broadcasting endeavors.

As a venue used by Bro. Eli in preaching during weekly Thanksgiving services, this same studio served as a lectern where Bro. Eli preached live to hundreds of thousands of congregants from the six continents of the world during the recently concluded International Thanksgiving to God of the second quarter.

MCGI’s International Thanksgiving to God is a massive celebration of gratitude that is joined in by Church members and visitors all over the globe. Even from afar, Bro. Eli spearheads the spiritual affair, whereby its 3-day programme include: the studying of spiritual topics, offering by the entire congregation of the sacrifices of Thanksgiving through the singing of praises, and the seeking of advice by brethren and visitors to Bro. Eli through the consultation sessions.

Bro. Eli was joined by Vice-Presiding Minister, Bro. Daniel Razon in serving the brethren with the biblical topics. Bro. Daniel preached the introductory to the main body of the five topics live from Apalit, Pampanga, where the bulk of the members in Central Luzon are. For his part, Bro Eli delivered the crux of all of these five topics.

Serving as a multi-purpose studio, it is also in this small studio where Bro. Eli answers questions from guests and visitors of his worldwide Bible Expositions. In major Church events like the recently-concluded mid-year A Song of Praise Music Festival, the same studio comes handy.

On his announcement of the new broadcast, Bro. Eli relayed some stories of former religious pastors from South America who are now learning Christ’s doctrines through the indoctrination sessions.

“May it be God’s will that this small place will be where we can reach a greater number of people from all corners of the world,” prayed the preacher.
