The Members Church of God International (MCGI) will offer its fourth quarter Special Thanksgiving of God’s People in a three-day event to be held on December 22 to 24, 2017.

For the last quarter of the year, the religious organization saw numerous significant occasions mounted successfully with the help of God.

MCGI overall servants Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon lead the flock in offering the sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Almighty for His guidance and deliverance during the past three months.

Ang Dating Daan’s 37th Anniversary

A week prior to the scheduled three-day Thanksgiving, MCGI commemorated the 37th anniversary of the religious program it produces, Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path).

The longest running religious television program in the Philippines celebrated the anniversary through a series of events conducted on December 15.

Highlights of the celebration included the unveiling of the La Verdad Diagnostic Center, which will provide free laboratory services to anyone in need; as well as the official opening of the state-of-the-art La Verdad Christian College Auditorium. Both are located within the ADD Convention Center compound in Apalit, Pampanga.

Various public service events such as free medical missions, clean-up drives, and feeding programs, were also administered simultaneously throughout MCGI local points in the Philippines and abroad.

The busy day was capped with a Special Bible Exposition wherein questions about faith and religion from different individuals were given answers based on the Bible.

On November 28, MCGI Assistant Overall Servant Kuya Daniel Razon celebrated his 34th year in service to God and humanity through the special concert “Beyond Music and Lyrics” held in Okada, Manila.

Aside from this, a special public service event was also organized in Taguig City the following day where hundreds of residents received free medical, dental, optical, and legal services during Serbisyong Kasangbahay’s “1st Grand People’s Day”.

Coinciding with his birthday celebration, Kuya Daniel also received special awards in November for his contributions in the broadcast industry.

These are the “Most Outstanding Global Newscaster of the Year” given by the Gawad Amerika Awards and the “Gawad Marcelo H. Del Pilar” from the National Press Club of the Philippines.

Bro. Eli’s Debates

Meanwhile, in South America where MCGI Overall Servant Bro. Eli Soriano personally conducts the Church’s propagation efforts, two religious debates were scheduled against pastors in Brazil.

The first one was against Pastor Douglas Jesse Rocha of Igreja do Evangelho Quadrangular held on November 5; and the other was against Apostolo Jonatas Scoralick of Igreja Apostolica Familia Restaurada held on December 10.

The former was won by Bro. Eli. The latter, on the other hand, did not push through as Scoralick was a “no-show” during the live religious event.

Other Church events

Several other major activities were organized by the Church during the past quarter.

On November 13, the grand finals night of the A Song of Praise Music Festival Year 6 was staged successfully at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum. Twelve new songs of praises from Church members and non-members alike were performed during the event attended and supported by members of the MCGI.

Moreover, the third installment of the benefit concert “Song for Heroes”, which honored the soldiers and cops who fought in Marawi, was held on October 31 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

The benefit concert was spearheaded by MCGI over-all servant Bro. Eli Soriano who pledged to donate Php50,000 to each of the families of the 165 soldiers and police who died in the line of duty in Marawi.

This is apart from the Php8 million-cash assistance already granted to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) during the said event.

For a quarter filled with these various activities, the Members Church of God International is now preparing to give thanks and glory to Whom it is due.

However, more than these, MCGI is offering the sacrifice of thanksgiving for the thousands of souls baptized during the past quarter, alongside the bountiful wisdom taught by God through Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel.

Members from different regions in the Philippines and from countries all over the world are expected to gather at the center point of the thanksgiving, the ADD Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga.
